Pitiful Disease

She’s betraying herself
to make him happy,
and I can’t stop blaming a memory
It’s tragic that her masks
are now all she has,
but she’s violently torn
between woman and girl;
missed seeing her self
through all of that makeup
So she’s lost her dreams to his altar,
and I can’t stop blaming the memory
